Pros and cons of One Fish Two Fish app for iPhone and iPad

One Fish Two Fish app good for

Son cant get enough of the Dr. Seuss and Little Critter books
This is a great integration of technology with the simple pleasure of reading to your children. I only use the "read it myself" feature. I love how it has subtle background sounds fitting to the context and how it zooms in and out of the original Dr. Seuss illustrated pages. It feels like an animated version of the book to my voice. My 2 year old twins LOVE it!
By far the best app I have purchased for my daughter to date. The creators have done an amazing job of converting the books. I will continue to purchase the great products that they release.
For the price this is a great book. We enjoy this together as well as our 5 year old all by herself. Would recommend this classic book.
I loved this book as a kid and now my daughter loves the iPad version. We enjoy reading it together and exploring all the words and sounds on each page. Great fun!
Kids are captivated by these OM books. Who am I kidding. They have my attention too.

Some bad moments

Not as interactive as I the other Dr Seuss apps which I have purchased. Expect to see more activities.
Story is fine but when you are reading by yourself (not having it read to you) it insists on interrupting you to randomly announce things which completely breaks the rhythm. There is no way to turn it off.
I never read this book but bought the cat in the hat and green eggs apps and liked them. I could take a flier on a buck with this one too but found it just wasnt as good. For one, if you want a book that from page to page links themselves then this isnt the book for you. Granted I understand Dr. Seuss is about fun and rhymes but the other books have story and meaning like the going places one that I also bought. But this one could be like one page is about a bug that is on a rug and the next page or even next paragraph is like a bird that is chewing on a curd. Just silliness and thats it. The other issue I have is the narrator. Not to be offensive but the speaker could be a kid at the local library. I might be just as good or bad, but the other narrators of the other books really sold the story to me. Lots of emphasis and passion. Maybe my second go around will be better. Also this is a very very long book in comparison to the others.... maybe its just because I didnt like it as much :(
Kind of disappointed I expected more after my daughter loved green eggs and ham. This one wasnt that great. Its okay I guess.
